43 states allow write-in candidates but the candidate must file some paperwork in 35 of them in order to have the votes tallied and be eligible to serve if elected.

So if Bernie doesn't get the Dem nomination, there will be no way to elect him without some cooperation from him.

I know he has said he won't run independent, but at the same time, I don't see how he could ignore so many passionate people who are determined to make him our next commander-in-chief. I have signed a couple of petitions asking him to keep running no matter what. He has to understand there is just too much at stake! There won't be a next time.
