The IC farmer's market was thriving less than 50 yards away but there was no visible ground game--before he spoke, or after--to alert comrades to the momentous event or invite them to embrace the cause. The crowd of 500-600 that showed would have swelled to twice that, had the appearance been better coordinated on the ground. But these things take time, and the signup sheets were out. He built a local network and the ground game will be much stronger in the next phase.
Northwest Iowa, Kensett, IA--hats off to you! The revolution has begun, and I'd suggest Kensett (population 220, but over 300 turned out) is "ground zero."
Note to HRC: "Objects in your rear-view mirror are closer than they appear."
