I completely agree, things would have to be very bad btw US jews and President Obama before Netanyahu's endorsement would help.

Did you know that in Europe, people think that President Obama already gives too much support to Israel: https://poutsch.com/question/1000865

Europeans also believe that the US - media is too much on Obama's side (https://poutsch.com/question/1003269) which is strange regarding the fact that the great majority of europeans clearly endorse Obama.
