(95,337 posts)But in the end this site has always had the policy of supporting the Democrats in general elections. Post whatever crap you'd like to say about those other democrats running for President, but there isn't one thing you can tell me that says that candidate, IF they win the nomination, would be a worse choice than any a Republican. Because there are too many rights and lives at stake if we allow the GOP to win the White House. Your 'teach the deems a valuable lesson' by going third party means I might lose might right as a woman to choose for my body. It means that millions of people will lose their right to healthcare (just watch what happens in Kentucky). It means that Christian bigots will get stronger support on our Supreme Court and rights that many people have just finally achieved could be taken away.
If I wanted the perfect Democrat who supports my ideologies100% I would have to run for office myself. Every democrat I have voted for has always been 'imperfect' compared to my beliefs. But those Democrats are still a far cry better than any republican.
