There are over half a million more registered Dems than Repigs. IIRC, there are even more registered Inds than Repigs. Problem is, the FDP is a dysfunctional mess run by DLC types who care more about preserving their own spots at the corporate feed trough than they do about getting other Dems (especially progressives) elected.
