Mitt Romney’s loss creates GOP leadership vacuum

6. This vacuum is what McCain is trying to fill

He's always been an opportunist and now with Romney out of the picture he senses an opportunity with his Susan Rice attacks to not just remain in the spotlight (always his first instinct) but to regain the leadership of the GOP which he had when he was the party's presidential candidate. I should say alleged leadership because he, like Romney, is a loser, a notch on the President's belt. It's hard to lead when you're such a sore loser. Romney at least has so far had the decency to accept his defeat with class and without the still-searching-for-relevancy bluster of McCain.
