I also defriended all family members on FB. They would post shit there even worse than the shit they would email. They asked why I took them off FB at the last family gathering. I explained I liked them in person at the family functions, but I couldn't stand their social/political positions they would post on FB. It was better for me not to know them as personally as FB was letting me get to know them.

They just didn't get it. Thankfully, they control it at those rare family functions.
