10. This is what the entire anti-abortion movement has been about all along.

The GOP has known for almost 40 years that they were destined to become a minority party in this country within the next 40 years. I have believed for sometime that this is what is behind the whole anti-abortion movement. Yes I believe that many good christians do believe that life begins at conception, but the radicalization of the anti-abortion movement is preying on these people's beliefs to achieve a different agenda. Since they are not going to ever be able to prevent people from having sex, they are seeking to control the ramifications of having sex. Whether you know it or not, white women were the biggest benefactors of affirmative action in the 60s. These women began going to college in record numbers and now outpace white men's enrollment and completion of college. As a consequence, these women are marrying later in life, having fewer babies, and some choosing to not marry at all, or not have babies. This is partially to blame for the white race destined to be a minority in this country by 2040.

I'm not saying this to be racist or anything, I'm just stating facts. Some in the GOP has seen the handwriting on the wall. But rather than run a campaign of we are afraid we are becoming a minority in our own country and we can't live with that fact, have used used the christian doctrine that life begins at conception to try and outlaw abortion, and next, some forms of contraception to force women to carry babies to term, particularly white women. This wouldn't be the first time that some in the GOP has manipulated their base deceptively and tried to use public policy and law, as the means to achieve an end. Exhibit A, voter suppression laws where no voter fraud exists. But whip your base into a frenzy anyway, and if you repeat a life long enough, it becomes the truth.
