Why are some DU members so terrified of words, ideas, opinions??? [View all]

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by etherealtruth (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

The constant effort to censor the marketplace of ideas here on DU is just stunning. It's a tyranny of sorts, anathema to liberty, anathema to what we Democrats say we are all about.

Grow up. Have confidence in your ability to read something, argue against it if you wish, ignore it if you wish, accept it if you wish.

But censoring???

That's just ugly.

That's the kind of bubble thought that keeps a citizen from another citizen. It's exclusive, exclusionary, divisive.
