Republicans went hardcore in being uncompromising toward the end of the 90's and it's a huge part of why things are as partisan as they are these days. With all the shutdowns, threats, and intransigence, it's crazy.
Seeing a growing segment of the left acting the same way is utterly disheartening. Politics is about compromise.
