The past couple of days I've been thinking about age. (Disclaimer: I'm old.) It seems the job in question is more suitable for someone of Obama's age. Both Hillary and Bernie are smart enough and qualified enough, but recently I've become more aware of the quirky little things that seem to happen to an older mind. And the energy thing. They're both putting on a good show, but it's got to be just a show. No matter how hard you try to stay in shape, the vigor of youth is not there. It's a shame the field was cleared for Hillary. It discouraged the 40 and 50-somethings from even considering a run. (Okay, now you can pile on with the "ageism" remarks.)
