Lots of them truly believe Obama's simply held his socializing, gun confiscating, secret Shariya, homosexual urges in check for the last four years simply in hopes of getting a second term--which is when he'll really cut loose. Delusional? Well, sure. But let me just say in their defense that most of them are crazy.

No, I think there are two reasons why Democrats appear more nervous than Republicans. First, they have a culture of true-believerism that sustains them in their hours of conflict. We, [font size="1"]OTOH[/font], have a culture of skepticism and inward reflection. Individuals will vary from case to case, of course, but in the aggregate, Dems are just better at looking inward and Republicans are better at projecting an outward "game face."

The second reason is that you are probably more subjectively aware of the angst on our side than whan they exhibit on their side.
