In reply to the discussion: President Obama: Please Endorse Hillary Already [View all]Ken Burch
(50,254 posts)89. Bernie didn't "Praise Castro" and you know it.
He just said that some good came of the revolution.
What was he supposed to do? Act like everything the Cubans have done is evil?
It's enough that he says Cuba should democratize.
There is no good reason for anyone to be calling for the end of free education and healthcare in Cuba...they need less repression, not "shock therapy".
The Cold War is over, and Cuba is just another country now.
It's time for OUR leaders to stop trying to interfere in a country where we never had any right to interfere at all...not in 1898, not in 1961, not now.
Leave Cuba's fate to the Cubans.

McGovern lost because his VP pick underwent electroshock for Bipolar and still suffered from it!

One can't truly discuss the McGovern race without discussing what happened to the Democratic party

It would be inappropriate for the president to endorse a candidate in the middle of a primary

I doubt an endorsement by President Obama is coming before the end of the primary ...

A primary endorsement by a sitting President would be so unprecedented that it would do more harm
