to be the most honest person on the stage.

He stood by his principled stance.

If we had opened up relations with Cuba many years ago, the society there would be far more open and free than it is now.

Being open with others and with people in other nations frees them from fear and enables them to be freer within their own countries.

Opening up communication with repressive regimes is the best thing you can do to help people who live under the oppression of dictatorships.

That's my experience and opinion.
