You are assuming that she has the transcripts. But I don't know of any speaker who keeps transcripts of their speeches (prepared texts, yes, but not transcripts). Transcripts, if they are done, are done by the hosts. She probably had no idea last night if there are transcripts or who has them, so she would have been insane to say, "Sure, I'll release them," since they probably aren't in her possession and aren't hers to release.

But, of course, none of that will matter since the very fact that someone said, "release the transcripts" will now lead to months of "WHY HASN'T SHE RELEASED THE TRANSCRIPTS?! IT'S BEEN 24 WHOLE HOURS SINCE IT FIRST CAME UP. WHAT'S SHE HIDING!"

"SHE RELEASED THE TRANSCRIPTS BUT THEY DON'T INCLUDE ANYTHING WE CAN USE AGAINST HER SO SHE MUST HAVE ALTERED THEM!"

"SHE RELEASED THE TRANSCRIPTS BUT THEY DON'T INCLUDE ANYTHING WE CAN USE AGAINST HER SO SHE DIDN'T RELEASE ALL OF THE TRANSCRIPTS!!"
