but as far as OC and CC, I like what you say in principle, but I like the each state do their own thing. I have found that in places like Wyoming and Vermont where open carry has always been customary (at least not in Wyoming anyway) it is kind of a solution in search of a problem. I would make the OC permit like Montana's CCW, not needed if out in the sticks, but needed in a town or city.
As for the CCW training, if you are going to do it, do it right. I understand TX and MN have good training requirements. The class I took in Florida was a waste of my afternoon, and a fucking joke.
