Northeasterners/MidAtlanticans: are you pets doing anything in anticipation of the storm?

3. The storm has not hit here yet(NE coast) but my kity is walking around

crying her head off. She can probably feel the change in barometric pressure. Nothing due here until about 3AM. I'm prepared as best I can. Cellar(furnace) is of most concern. Lose power and I am going to be hand pumping for as long as the outage lasts. Ugh. I'm too old for this. Wish I had gas heat.

I can survive without much food or water but not without a pump. The last big storm 7 or 8 years cost us $7000.00 for a new furnace. Sump pump died. You never know until it happens.
