5. I found a tiny newborn pig in the garden back in 1962. She wasn't one of

mine as a different breed. The sow must have rolled on her as she had a bad hip. We took her inside, warmed her in a cooling oven, and put her in a wash tub filled with straw. Fed her a bottle every few hours and named her Poochie.

She became our pet, thought she was a dog, and chased the school bus. She loved fresh tomatoes and peanut butter sandwiches.

Our dad let us keep her for 3 years. She couldn't be bred due to her injury. She weighed 750 pounds when we had to let her go.

I often think of her.
