Pooping problem in Jack Russell mix [View all]

Last week, Scout had really bad diarrhea. Took her to the vet, got fluids under the skin twice....and was put on metronidazole. The whole time, she acted like she felt fine. Good appetite, playing, not painful anywhere... Now, her poop is normal, no blood...plays with her stuffed animals, barks in obnoxious outside voice to lick the plates...

However, she seems to have no idea when she needs to poop. None. Is dropping poop balls in the house, pooping in her sleep, etc.

No blood in the poop, 2 more days left on the medicine, there are NO other symptoms. We are going back to the vet tomorrow....we don't feel like this warrants a trip to the emergency vet-

She is 10 years old, and eats Solid Gold Hund n Flocken, which she has been on for 8 years. She is strictly indoors, leash walked only....and is never alone in the house for more than a few hours (4 at most) any day. She is a terrier, so no dog park trips....she is only around her cat friend, and when we are gone she is crated.

Any ideas?
