5. Last year I used more than 20 pounds of butter for Christmas baking.

Twelve pounds of cookies were picked up by the college boy going home on the train -- I bake for that part of the family every year and particularly now when there are twin toddlers.

I'm channeling my Aunt Dorothy who set the pace with her baking. A whole pantry with shelves of Christmas tins full of cookies.
