I haven't made a Boboli pizza in years, but pesto is my absolute favorite base for just about everything, including pizza. I am quite happy with pesto and cheese, but black olives, and veggies and real sausage or Morningstar Farms sausage crumbles are good, too. As for a crust, I use everything from pitas to Flatout flatbreads, to real pizza dough. But, nothing beats an Edwardo's deep dish pesto on whole wheat. You'll have to go to Chicago for that.
