Shouldn't there be some acknowledgement within the definitions that these linguistic markers (misanthropes, misogyny and misandry) include the notion that strong emotional reactions and beliefs held by misogynysts and misandrists are illogical, uncontrolled emotionally charged phobias- toxic and destructive to society and liberty. Abusing trust is something both genders are guilty of; those abuses are the fault of the extremists among us. Legitimate social commentary and critique requires a modicum of humility about the abuses and dishonesty exhibited by almost all extremists. Having courage means accepting the truth about individuals and thier ulterior motives or ends, even the ones from your own camp or "movement". This level of honesty is not possible as long as discussions about simple disagreements are continually hijacked by the shrill voices of extremism and gender animus.
