...industry is, no matter how destructive, expensive and rickety, no matter how much money it soaks out of human needs that matter more than kissing the asses of bourgeois people who know nothing about energy or the environment, no matter how much more gas it requires to be drilled, and no matter how much waste it generates, people will find an excuse to cheer for it.

The oceans didn't need to be changed. They needed to be sustained.

The wind industry did nothing to do that; it is doing nothing to do that; it will never do anything to do that.

And because the enthusiasm for the ineffective wind industry has lead to an increase in the rate of destruction of the planetary atmosphere (as anyone who can compare numbers can see), the oceans are being destroyed faster than ever by acidity and other human activities, the wind industry can be seen for what it is, one of the worst examples of human stupidity and the fond and pixilated fondness among humans, for lying to themselves.
