Like the 1992 Israeli Embassy bombing, which was forensically shown to have been done from inside the building (Menem ordered the report suppressed), the AMIA investigation had been so utterly tainted by obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and every manner of other malfeasance from Menem, Corach, Judges Galeano and Bonadío, Police Chief 'Fino' Palacios (Macri's wiretapper) on down, that the case had to be vacated a decade later - in other words, put back to square one.

Nisman, who took over "prosecution" of the case at that time (2004) was unanimously condemned by victims' rights groups for sitting on the case - including wiretapping the victims' groups themselves, on which he much of his time and taxpayer money.

What little work he did do, consisted mostly of sojourns to the U.S. Embassy, which routinely gave him instructions as to how best to pin the bombing on Iran - to help justify the bombing of Iran (a cherished Netanyahoo goal as well, as you know).

And the $3 million annual budget Cristina Kirchner gave Nisman? We know where a lot of that ended up: parties in Brazil, and a secret, $666,000 Merrill Lynch bank account in New York which he shared with his "tech expert" (and reputed lover) Diego Lagomarsino.
