A Facebook friend posted a "scientific" poll on how Sanders won the first debate. I clicked through and the entire site just didn't smell right. It is on a "news" site I have never seen before. The polling company is some cut rate business survey company. The editor-in-chief had an accounting degree from College of Charleston and looks like a total southern frat boy. It was obviously not legit. So I start Googling the names of the staff and they are all b-team GOP political operatives. I gave my friend hell about it, but seriously, this poll was. not. credible. You didn't even have to be bright to see that. And I think this guy is above-average bright. Just blinded, I guess, and totally willing to spread right wing lies to suit his own narrative. I basically like him and usually enjoy his posts. But he is hidden until after the primary, just for my blood pressure.

Hillary is running a great campaign this time. Her debate performance has been strong. Her grasp of foreign policy in the last debate was so deep and granular, she blew the other two off the stage and then blew away the moderator. And he was really good, but I could see in his eyes where he got a bit overwhelmed by her speed and grasp of facts. I am not following the details of her campaign, but from what I heard earlier, her ground game is also much better this time. Last election, she did not put enough operatives in the caucus states and then had a bad debate or two.

After my heartbreak over the Kerry/Bush campaign, I work hard at keeping it real, even if I love a candidate. I feel like I would know if she was actually in any trouble.
