It's by far the most powerful software I've found at a reasonable price for that sort of digital audio restoration but I haven't used enough of the other functions to really have a good handle on the instructions. It didn't take me too long to get up to speed on what I wanted to do but I've barely scratched the surface on what Reaper is capable of doing.

Reaper has an active message board for questions, hints and tips, you might try asking there, I've found that a strong user base you can get help from is often more important and useful than thorough documentation.
