still, something just doesn't make sense to me. But that's just me. I trust nothing about a system that was created to give ex-slave states more of a voice when they complained, those many, many generations past, that their voice-votes were not being heard-ignored when in actuality they were. This EC was the compromise. Anachronistic and antiquated, same thing true, but it has to go in favour of one person-one vote. But that's just me. The PTB's, especially the GOP, need this system to be able to cheat as proven by the last election. But that's just me and my 1st Amendment right speaking.
