Bellevue is growing and changing. With the planned East Link light rail extension, the Bel-Red area development, the Downtown Livability Initiative, and the Growing Transit Communities regional planning effort underway, there's a lot to look forward to in Bellevue.
Join us for a special update from Sara Schott Nikolic , Senior Planner with the Growing Transit Communities Program and Paul Inghram, Comprehensive Planning Manager with the City of Bellevue. Learn how these planning efforts are helping to create a vibrant Bellevue and how you can get involved.
Over the past two years, stakeholders from planners to businesses to housing advocates across the Puget Sound region have worked together to identify key actions that are effective in growing equitable transit communities at light rail stations including East Link and other high-capacity transit stations. This is perhaps the most important planning effort in two decades.
Now we need you to get involved. A draft of The Growing Transit Communities Strategy is now open for public review until June 7. http://www.psrc.org/assets/9539/GTCStrategyPublicRelease.pdf
We want to make sure you're up-to-speed on this important work so you can effectively weigh-in.
This forum is co-presented by the Puget Sound Regional Council, City of Bellevue, Transportation Choices Coalition and Futurewise. It is free and open to the public.
I hope to see you there,
