'The Bear' star, fresh off historic Emmy win, joins Harris-Walz campaign trail [View all]

On Sunday, Liza Colón-Zayas made history as the first Latina actor to win the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.

This weekend, the actor from “The Bear” will join vice presidential candidate Tim Walz at a campaign rally, Variety reports.

News of Colón-Zayas supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ run for president and her running mate Walz, governor of Minnesota, arrived not long after the actor talked about voting in her Emmys acceptance speech.

“To all the Latinas who are looking at me, keep believing and vote,” she said. “Vote for your rights.”

Colón-Zayas, 51, is set to be a part of a Walz rally Sept. 21 in Lehigh, Pennsylvania alongside actor Anthony Ramos (“Twisters,” “In the Heights,” “Hamilton”).
