Hi Ken, Blue, and everyone:
While googling for a copy of the old FAC video (I stupidly gave my last one away last year, thinking I had more..) up came Democratic Underground and this thread. Thanks for thinking of the old days!

I'm Melinda - the one who wrote and performed "Come Buy My Windows" along with a bunch of the other songs. After the FAC retired in 1996, I started a new political comedy music theatre troupe, BroadArts Theatre. We've been around now for 12 years, doing stage shows and concerts, still progressive (lots more than just Christmas parodies now), still radical, still getting into trouble. BroadArts has had a number of shows, including WonderBroads, about progressive women activists from Mother Jones and Susan B. Anthony to Dolores Huerta and bell hooks- The Babes and Broads who Broke the Rules! WonderBroads toured for 8 years on an off, and won the Oregon Book Award for Best Drama in 2000.

I'm just finishing my Master's on progressive comedy, (graduate June 15th!) then I hope on to teach while revitalizing BroadArts. Yes, my personal FB is Melinda E. Pittman (with the initial) and the BroadArts FB is Melinda Pittman- friend me!

I do have some of the old FAC CDs, cassette tapes (just what you need for your high technology), some of the Summer Angels Some Are Not! cassettes and CD, and then a bunch of newer BroadArts Theatre CDs.

Thanks again for thinking of us aging radicals- Friend me! If you're interested in performances and or appearances, we will start that up again in the fall of this year. Our website BroadArts.org is out of date, but that's a summertime project.

Keep on keeping on-
Cheers,
Melinda Pittman
