2. The Boogaloos left long before the police attacked the peaceful protestors.

Later in the day, the Boogaloos apparently attempted looting/robbing the Academy Sports business (sells guns and ammo) way out on the west side of town.

Tim Denson, one of our current county commissioners, and founder of Athens For Everyone, was among those tear gassed.

I know Mokah Johnson, who is currently running for elected office, and I have worked with her on GOTV during the last election.

Thoughts are that, Athens-Clarke County native son, Gov. Brian KKKemp, planned the crackdown in retribution for blue Athens-Clarke County efforts to remove the Confederate memorial from the middle of Broad St across from the UGA Arches.

I’ve been part of many protests downtown over the years. ALL were entirely peaceful and no scary Boogaloos were ever on the scene.
