asking her to marry him years ago (before WWI) if he was gay. I'm thinking he just doesn't want a young wife, kids.

I'm glad the manor was saved and Matthew agreed to take the money left to him.

I'm ready for more to develop regarding the Irish rebellion and Tom and Sybil.
