The whole litter was there, and I did none of the things one should do to chose: I simply looked and picked the prettiest one.
Excused the transgression by telling myself I am a visual being and it’s OK.

When a few months ago I saw her sister traversing the farm where they were born without a leash or restraint and realized I could never be this free with my precious Lola in the city I remembered the time of the choosing and knew this other one one could easily be mine and I honestly got a bit verklemmt. I simply could not imagine my Lola to have gone elsewhere. I’m reading Marianne Williamson's Book “Tears to Triumph” right now. It’s way more than a gem. And so was Lola for me in two emotionally hard years.
