All good tips. I took several classes along the way (mostly just intro stuff & listened to a few freebie lectures at the local camera store's sales events) at the end of all of them, it was always the same statement, "take lots of pictures". So I do that when I can. Try to catch many of the online lectures as I can through Youtube, FB links or iTunes & enjoy my older & newer Canon stuff. I know I would have to improve by several magnitudes just to be an Amateur, but that's okay, sometimes I get a few good shots here and there.
