2. Cats' milk has more protein than dogs.

Kittens with a dog foster mom will be OK but they might need some supplements. Cats can also feed puppies in a pinch, but puppies are usually bigger than kittens so the cat might not have enough milk. Cross-species nursing is nevertheless a better thing than bottle feeding because the babies get the feeling of being mothered and protected.
