This isn't a law enforcement exercise with lighters, tobacco, alcohol, etc. This is a DATA MINING exercise. Your precise BIRTH DATE is a personally identifiable data point that can be shared with marketers, HEALTH INSURANCE companies, the Feds, the NSA, HACKERS to the Rite-Aid data base (like Target, Home Depot, et al.)

Buy too much tobacco and/or alcohol, Humana and others want to know how to ultimately adjust your premiums and copays.

I worked for EDS in the 90's, Ross Perot's old tech giant which is now part of HP. We got the contract to store data from Safeway supermarkets, the first grocery store to introduce "loyalty" cards. Why do you get a discount on your products using loyalty cards? Because they are selling your purchase history for WAAAAYYYYY more than the discount they're giving you. Information is money. And power. For them. For you, it's eventually higher insurance premiums or a knock on your door from someone you don't know. Much less want to know.

Wake up, sheeple! Your birth date is one degree of separation from your SSN. Fight these Nazi's at every turn. Refuse to give them your birth date.
