MiddleFingerMom is active in two groups at DU, The DU Lounge and the Good News Group.
Now I don't know what the hell you guys do with him but all I know is that he starts every morning with an optimistic bit of fresh and hopeful news with a thread called "Find Something to be Happy about Today":

It appears that after he starts all of us out with a smile on our faces he hangs out in the lounge and gets worn out in all of the high falutin' jocular nihilistic ramblings of the sophisticated witticisms of the self medicated 'cool kids' in Da Lounge.
Well all of us in the Good News Group are teetering on a high wire existence somewhere between the confidence of taking a Kiekregaard post breakfast leap into the world and a state of existential Sartrean angst filled nausea, spending the rest of the day vomiting under the nearest Chestnut Tree.
He's now asked to take a leave of absence from posting his signature feature in our group and from our small group of barely functional neurotics we would request that you would leave our beloved MFM alone and allow him to continue to lead our small group with a morning dose of good news.
Unlike the neurotics at the lounge we haven't mastered the skill of self medication.
Oh yeah MFM, get well, we mean it this time.
