153. Oooh I love that scene and line from "The Town".

What I love about that is, who wouldn't want to have a friend who, if you told them you needed to fuck some people up, no questions asked about why, they're you're wing man automatically? Of course it's partly because the Renner character is a thrill seeking violence loving jerk, but still...

What I liked about "The Town" is that while the Renner character was in large part the stereotypical "off the rails" member of a crime crew who winds up blowing everything up and getting everyone arrested or killed, he did display real loyalty and was owed a certain amount of loyalty by Affleck and the others. To a point (which he crossed of course). That made it a little more complex than the usual "fuckup gangster who ruins everything" character.

Ben Affleck also had some good lines as the villainous head of a shady stockbroker firm in "The Boiler Room" essentially reprising Alec Baldwin's role from "Glengarry Glen Ross". The guy has kind of limited range but is really strong in the right roles, and as a director he's aces in my opinion.
