If it's chicken, cheese or milk, we can expect a paw to the plate or spoon, or nose in the bowl or mug, and we prepare accordingly.

The perils of a small house with no dining room. We don't have a table to sit and eat at, so the front-room couch and associated side tables is usually where we eat. At least we don't leave the TV on when we eat, so it's somewhat similar to the family get-together that dining should be.
