36. Does your place of work have a safety program in place?

Mar 2013

I work for a company that is AISC structural steel, ASME pipe/presure vessel and mechanical contracting with close to 1000 employees and we just got what is called OSHA VPP Star staitus. Less than 0.03% of the companies in America get achive this for safety. We have a safety program where anyone from the office, shops and field crews can stop work if they think or see that something is dangerous and not get in trouble for it. You cannot be legally fired for reporting a safety violation to OSHA. Don't be afraid to go read the OSHA website. My place of work main core value when it comes to safety is that at the end of the day everyone goes home to their family healthy and safe.

where are you working? snooper2 Mar 2013 #1
