For backstory see https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220204003

First thing: I've never seen so many cowboy hats in Flint, Michigan!!! Damn!!!

Second of all, turns out the friend was 'friendly' and I suspect my niece's FIL was given a talking to before they left for the concert. She and her husband are both very progressive so maybe he reins it in when visiting. He was unusually quiet but he was pleasant and gave me a big hug just before bro and I headed home.

As for the concert, WOWWWWW!!!!! The Capitol Theater was packed and the crowd was, to say the least, enthusiastic. Lots of people seat dancing and singing along with crowd participation in singing 'Sharp Dressed Man'. These two guys put on an amazing show, without having background dancers and pyrotechnics but with amazing energy and talent. I'm going to have an earworm playing 'Sharp Dressed Man' for the rest of the day.
