Its scary as hell every time I go in there but I get through it and you will too!!! 
There was a woman in there who was 8 years out and she was in tears she was so frightened. We all want the beast to be gone forever. Chances are, it is. 
I go to Dana Farber in Boston, so when I go in there to the waiting room I do my best to be funny to lift the room. I usually go in and say something like "I dont know about you ladies, but this is my favorite day ever! Normally I get a laugh and the women start talking instead of sitting there in nervous silence. So hopefully you will have a veteran in there when you go for that first mammogram to help you through.
