Traveling to other lands is fantastic! I've always loved seeing other places, meeting different people, trying different foods and breathing different air. It always amazes me that the sunlight is different around the world. There is so much to see and do in this world that staying home seems wasteful. Missing the great adventures strikes me as living an unfulfilled life.

Travel doesn't have to be expensive. There are so many ways to see the world on limited funds. You can't stay in 5-star hotels, of course, but there are many other options that are affordable for most travelers. You just have to do a bit of research and learn to be patient.

Generally, many Americans don't travel overseas. This limiting of experience adds to the xenophobia that so many people seem to have. I've never understood it.
