We're mostly a moderate group which leans Democratic, but we do have one lefty (me), one conservative (Mom) and one libertarian (a cousin) amongst us. In the past there have been dust-ups at holiday time over varying topics, so after everyone arrives I will respectfully suggest topics that need to be off limits for us to enjoy the day:

1) Anything relating to the Middle East, and
2) Anything relating to the University of Michigan and/or Ohio State.

Seriously, those would be the hot-button topics. You could say we share an over-inflated importance regarding college sports, so at least that unites us.
