It's an "Idylis".

The room that needs AC the most has a high-ceiling and is big (16 x 28). The sun pours down on the roof and turns the room into an oven.

The window AC unit that I had before just didn't have the oomph to cool the room down, but the portable does a good job.

It plugs into a standard wall outlet, is portable (with wheels) and is fairly unobtrusive. It's a little noisy when on the highest cooling setting.
