Showing Original Post only (View all)Remedies for telemarketers who won't stop calling? [View all]
I'm being hit with 4-5 calls a day from "Tom With Home Protection," a telemarketing firm so persistent that there's an online movement to stop him: http://stoptomwithhomeprotection.wordpress.com/
I'm on the Do Not Call Registry and have filed repeated complaints about these people, so that hasn't worked. These are robocalls, so a loud horn into the phone's mouthpiece won't work either.
Have any of you been pestered like this by "Tom" or any other equally annoying firm, have any of you found a way to make them stop, and if so how did you do it?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

I've heard that pretending to be a suicide who needs to be talked down is a good ploy.

His problem is that it's a recording and not a real person who's calling. Bummer.nt

If a number shows up on caller ID that I don't know, I just let it go to voicemail.
