I'm a toucher too and I live alone. I live in New Orleans, about 90 minutes from my mom, and I haven't seen her since early March.

She's a very social person but hasn't been able to hang out with her posse. In the Before Times, her little gang of about 6 or 7 old folks would meet for coffee several times a week, lunch or dinner a few more times, and she and my oldest sister would go to dinner at least once a week. All that stopped dead in mid-March and I worry about her.

I call her several times a week and we talk for hours. We mostly laugh at the dumb shit Dumpus said or did that day.

And I make my daughter and my older brother call her frequently, but it's taking a toll on my mother. My sister moved in with my mom a couple years ago, so she's not totally alone, but they keep totally different schedules.

I am so fucking mad at Dump for stealing the joy from my mother's remaining years. She's 92 and in relatively good health, but she really misses her friends. Fucking Dumbass Dump!
