The very last purchase on the day before Thanksgiving, we always stopped at the local bakery for a loaf of their Dutch crunch (white) bread. And we made the most delicious sandwiches the day after. That was my Mom's favorite. Thanks for the memory.

Stuffing and gravy. The rest is good, too, but stuffing and gravy define Thanksgiving, IMO.

At our house I have to make double southern cornbread dressing and gravy and both pumpkin and pecan
