I've posted this before, but for those who missed it, I used to be Amerigo Vespucci on DU.
I've been here since Aug 6, 2007.
Short version of the story: Hard drive crashed in 2013, wiped out everything, had no backups. Didn't remember the email account I used to sign up for DU so I wasn't in a position to ask the Admins to retrieve or reset my password. I loved that identity and racked up 30,855 posts...so you can add them to the count in my current profile, because he is ME.
