24. Blessings and great sympathy.

All of us who are animal lovers know this time eventually will come. I've dealt with dogs, cats, and horses in this situation over the years. I'm not religious either, but have always felt the same as the Pope regarding our "loving pets." I wish I would have more faith in an afterlife, but I've never doubted, if it exists, that our animal companions will be thre as well.
